Fab Fall Finds, with TJ Maxx

TJ Maxx never disappoints!

Hello loves!

Around this time of year, without fail, every influencer, blogger, & major retailer starts talking Fall. Throwback pictures of ankle boots, scarves, and large piles of leaves abound, complete with captions that include some variation of “almost sweater weather.” New collections drop – full of knits, textures, and moody hues – and it seems as if not a soul in the style world cares that it’s still 90+ degrees outside and my A.C. is on full blast.

Yet, despite my good sense & sensibility, I can never resist the lure of prepping for fall for long. My willpower was in this weakened state when I popped into TJ Maxx last night, and lo & behold, out I came with two new pieces for my autumn collection.

Japna Camisole Tops

I used to feel that skinny straps overemphasized the size of my chest, and made me look disproportionately top heavy. As I’ve aged, though, my body has changed, and now my measurements more naturally complement each other. (I also learned to trust in the camouflaging powers of a good strapless bra.) These days I love myself a good cami top, and naturally, I was drawn to these two the moment I saw them.

This morning, when I shared on my Instagram story the ways I plan to style them this fall, and the love poured in! I took a poll and asked if I folks wanted shoppable links on the blog, and 93% of voters said “Yes!”

Although I searched high & low, sadly, I could not find the exact tops anywhere online. (My best suggestion: Head to your local TJ Maxx ASAP. My store had a few left, in M and XL.) Instead, I rounded up as many stripe camisoles in similar colors as I could find. Most are under $50, and a few even rival the price tag of the two I bought!

How to Style Cami Top #1: Navy & Mustard

I matched this top to the buttery soft vegan leather mustard skirt I purchased from Scout & Molly’s last Wednesday. This pairing is cool enough for the warm weeks of early autumn, but the color palette says bring on the temp drop!

If you’re in need of a little flair, tassel earrings are an easy way to spice things up. Word on the streets is that leopard print is back this season, and I have two bags who can’t wait to get their party on.

As it gets cooler, I’m all about the layers and textures. I can’t wait to pull out this faux suede moto jacket (similar here) & these heeled boots (similar here) from last year.

How to Style Cami Top #2: Burnt Orange w. B&W Stripes

I paired this top with a corduroy skirt I purchased from Loft last season. Seriously, a match made in heaven. Just a few hours before I entered TJ Maxx, I saw an almost identical one! I think it was a sign!

For this pairing, I liked accessories that were more toned down. This color packs a punch, and I didn’t want to overwhelm the look with even more. Instead I played up the neutral tones with striped earrings & striped kitten heeled mules. (Mine are old & out of stock but these dupes are flats for an even lower price!)

Keeping in theme with the stripes, this extra cozy, comfy cardigan – also from Scout & Molly’s – would be a great addition to this look for cool mornings & nights. With a pair of over the knee black boots, and I’ve got myself a lewk.

Whether you’re hoping to score a fab find of your own, or simply shopping your own closet, I hope this post provided some practical pre-fall inspo for your wardrobe. I can’t wait to rock both of these looks in a few weeks and will be sure to share pics via Instagram! Don’t forget to pin these images so you can visit them later!
