Flamingo Fever

Happy weekend y’all!

This past Wednesday marked the official start of summer, perfectly coinciding with the last day of school. I have wasted no time getting into vacation mode, already staying up far past my bedtime, enjoying every minute of laughing and giggling with my folks (who were in town for the week). I didn’t even mind going into work both Thursday and Friday to write curriculum for next school year.

As I continue to assemble my summer wardrobe, I find – that much like last year – I’m loving every tropical print I can get my hands on. Although I’ve never been a huge fan of dressing for the heat – you can cash me inside by the AC, how ’bout that – I love love love whimsical summer patterns.

I could not have been more excited to celebrate National Pink Flamingo Day this past Thursday (read all about it here) and given that millennial pink is taking the world by storm, it’s only appropriate that National Pink Day was only one day after a celebration of summer’s favorite bird. Now, I know that you may be rolling your eyes right now given that talmbout 95% of these “national days” are about as made up as that “sick” day you took two weeks ago, but y’all know that I’m a sucker for a fun theme.

ICYMI, I’ve already rounded up my favorite palm leaf must-haves for summer (catch the post here), and below I’m sharing some of the pieces that are currently giving me flamingo fever!

As always thanks so much for reading! I hope you enjoy your weekend and, as a special treat, this absolutely stunning Mexican lake.
