Mix & Match: Tartan & Sequins

Hello all!

Each year I have what I call an extended holiday party. It’s a greate way to continue living up the magic of the holidays, a perfect time for exchanging gifts with my friends, and a much needed pick me up as by the end of January the frigid New England winter has usually begun to seep in.

This year’s theme is “A Night Before Hipst-mas’ and I can’t tell you how excited I’ve been to cover my little apartment in all the hipster favorites: burlap, tartan, and rustic accents. In looking for party attire, I wanted to find a piece that was the perfect mix between festive & fashionable. Naturally, I had to have this tartan bow dress from Chicwish.

Of course, no outfit would be complete without a dash of bling. Cue adorable sequin clutch! It’s under $30, and if you’ve been following along on social media you’ll recognize this little cutie from my NYE post. I’ve already taken it out for several spins, and I’m looking forward to spicing up some winter date night outfits with some glitz and glam.
