Hey y’all,
How cute is this bell-sleeved floral shift number?! I’m not going to lie. From the moment I saw this dress on Courtney Quinn from ColorMeCourtney, I knew I had to find it and copy her look! I did, in fact, shamelessly do just that within 24 hours of the package arriving at my door, even down to her adorable crown braid! For this post, however, I wanted to style this dress with more autumnal hues, and show how I rework some of my favorite all-season accessories into a fall look.
Retailer
If you don’t know, Lulus.com is an online retailer, who’s content is similar to Forever 21’s contemporary line, and often is where I can find a larger range of trendy pieces marketed toward women in their mid to late twenties. Keep in mind, however, that because Lulu’s specializes in current clothing, the quality is better than similar online retailers such as Boohoo or Missguided, but varies greatly depending on the piece. Most sizes are limited to XS to XL, without specific pieces for ladies who identify as petite, curvy, plus or any combination of the above. US shipping is free over $50, and return shipping is free within 10 days of delivery and $7 for up to 20 additional days. I’m a particularly large fan of their return policy, that gifts an additional $5 if you opt for store credit.
Outfit
That being said, I have scored several great pieces from Lulu’s in the past and I must say, that this dress does not disappoint. The fabric is light and airy making it perfect for warm fall days, and ripe for the layering as the weather begins to cool. I can imagine this dress will pair just as easily with OTK boots and a heavier coat. For now, this was a perfect for a sunny afternoon (which I hear folks in the south were getting plenty of) and I chose to pair it with this lightweight faux suede moto jacket for some added warmth in the evening. This jacket also layers well – you may recognize it from some recent Instagram posts – and the color makes it a fantastic statement piece. I’ve been coveting all things emerald this month, and this jacket is no exception. It’s under $100 and comes in 2 additional colors. I also took the liberty of linking several other affordable options that I love, including this brown beauty currently sitting in my cart. I hope you enjoyed this look as much as I enjoyed prancing about Boston Commons with my chai tea and best gal pal. Thanks for taking my pictures Claud!
Have a great week and as always, thanks for reading!
