Finally! The February color crush capsule is here! This month I’m feeling Valentine’s Day inspired. I’m experimenting with an array of pinks with pops of red.

I planned to share the details of February’s color crush this past weekend, but I was more tired than I realized. Instead, I took time to recuperate. I saw Maze Runner 3 with the beau, caught all the Superbowl action, and watched my first episode of This Is Us. (Can you say tears? I probably shouldn’t have started with Season 2 Episode 14.) Now, I’m more than ready to pull this post together because, as I said before, this month is good!
Color Crush Capsule
February’s color crush is filled to the brim with pink & red! I love this color combo, and as I only started wearing these colors last year, I enjoyed shopping for new additions to my wardrobe. Plus, Valentine’s Day is a perfect excuse to indulge in these sweet and sultry hues! Pink also pairs well with an assortment of blues. I look forward to getting my wear’s worth of my favorites from last month.
Even though holiday collections were tempting, this month I focused on pieces that were versatile and practical. I wanted to be more intentional about the ‘capsule‘ part of CCC. The graphic above shows the twelve items I added to my closet; two tops, three sweaters, one dress, one pair of pants, one pair of shoes, one coat, two scarves, & one pair of earrings. Given that twelve is high number, I set a simple goal to donate or sell at least eight items before February’s end. (That’s only two a week, and as of Saturday I sold three to a local second-hand store!)

Favorite Purchases
My favorite purchases include this coat, these boots, and these red pants. Both soft and hot pink tops pairs perfectly with the latter, for a day at work or a weekend brunch. Additionally, all the tops can easily be worn with black or white denim. (Browse more knits here.) A groundhog whose seen its shadow means stylish footwear remains a winter wardrobe essential. I had my eyes on several white pairs of boots before settling on these. The best part of winter is rocking a good coat, and this shearling-lined aviator is no exception.
